P▲S†ELS W▲N†ED

Today I'm sporting the newest- but more importantly, cutest- addition to my shoe collection; white, lace-up booties from Wanted! I've mostly chosen to wear my mary-jane style clog heels with pastel ensembles, but now I've got a pair of shoes that will match thousands of times better and give the arches of my feet a well-deserved rest. These size 6 1/2 feet are indulging themselves in a taste of comfort and undeniable adorability. And thanks to the macrame detailing, it looks my toes might experience a bit of the summer breeze! These cutesy little kickers seem like something I'd wear with lace socks as a baby and to be perfectly honest, that aesthetic is RIGHT up my alley. Thanks a million, Wanted!!!!

METALLIC FLAPPER

Most people who'd have worn this nearly-ankle-length metallic dress with sumptuous glam rock shoulder pads would've gone full force with the 1980s Madonna flair. But I chose to take 'material girl' to a new level and juxtapose the silvery threads with 1920s accents, like a headband, robe, and pair of old-timey kitten heeled pumps. Meet me at the nearest Speakeasy with your best pop records and I'll show you what it means to do the Charleston AND Moonwalk.

P.S. I've been interviewed for Lookbook's BEYOND THE HYPE series! Read it here and let me know what you think!!

DAISY TWEE

Here I yam in one of my standard summer looks from LA! Inspired by the sweet twee beats of 1995, I assembled this get-up using almost exclusively vintage pieces, mostly gifted to me from friends! A dress, hat, and mary-jane doc martens coalesce to form the perfect outfit for walking to a taco stand while bobbing your head to the tunes on your iPod. I recommend a lot of velvet, lace, zippers, daisies, checkers, stripes, and 90s knits for the summertime. The heat preventing you from layering is NO excuse to sport a poorly put-together outfit. Accessories like necklaces, socks, and sunglasses will save you trouble of seeming lazy.

Denim jacket- Levis, Mustang Exchange
Dress- Vintage, The Cobrashop

Bag- 1990s vintage hand-me-down

Ready to (soft) rock and roll.

P.S. Huge huge HUGE thank you to Jackie for composing this incredible sketch of my "Los Angeles" look!!!!!! She wrote this lovely little post about me and maintains an adorable personal style blog. Jackie you are soooo fated to be loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!

L▲†ELY

Drove back to Vegas from Hollywood last night! Had the most eventful (and productive) trip of my life. Feeling overwhelmed with creative energies so I'm going to take the week off from social commitments to foster my burgeoning visions. Here's a photo update from the past few months!
