Remember the good old days when "preppy" meant giant white sunglasses, teased blonde hair, a low-rise light-wash pleated denim skirt, rhinestone encrusted tank top, and flip flops? I'm talking Simple Life, small dog, Ashlee Simpson status. The year was 2006. All American Rejects and Danity Kane dominated airwaves. Logos like Von Dutch and Juicy Couture determined who was popular and who was shopping at (yuck!) Hot Topic in middle school. Chunky flip flops, layered tank tops, and popped collars were the norm... if you were cool. Man, I miss my youth. My REAL youth. Seventh grade, pool parties, cheerleading try-outs, arbitrary social hierarchies. The golden days of yore! Now I gotta wear pastel outfits like THIS ONE. You know I'd rather be rockin' a Tiffany & Co heart necklace than this TRENDY ASS polka dot blouse. Kidding. Kind of.
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:
Glasses - Romwe
Necklace - Chanel
Blouse - YES STYLE
Belt - Brighton
Pink pants - Joe's Jeans
Espadrille wedges - Nine West
Flower bag - Valentino
I just can't help but wonder how far these Prada inspired glasses from Romwe would have gotten me in terms of popularity if I were still a 13 year old. Anything to strike a stronger resemblance to OC it-girls Lauren Conrad and Kristen Cavallari. FEELING REALLY SERIOUSLY NOSTALGIC RIGHT NOW. Feel free to snail mail me all three seasons of Laguna Beach.

AH you look amazing! Your sunglasses are sooooo cool! I remember in 5th grade when the "popular" people were those who wore Abercrombie and Juicy Couture, stores I've never shopped at before. haha. You look amazing though! I love your pink on pink, and ugh. I'm so in love with your glasses!

AHHH your making me reminisce now!! Light-wash denim skirts and an A&F tee with those flip flops were around every corner! And the staple Tiffanys ring, necklace, bracelet- and it better be in heart shape. Then again... I'm staring down mine right now and about to put it on <3 However your outfit, is love. This top is amazing and love how you brought those days back with the Chanel necklace. Killer wedges too! Much love <3

I don't know what it is, but the 5th picture down just makes me smile. It is such a vivid picture of Cruella! Do you ever think about making an outfit for the Olympics?
