Theme dressing has reached new lows... not only am I deriving inspiration from Disney cartoons, but evil, dog-napping, puppy-killing, fur-stealing cartoons at that! Totally not my fault that Cruella from 101 Dalmatians happens to be a source of EXQUISITE style savvy. Let's be real: she's so Chanel. Little Black Dress, pointed pumps, and in the 1996 live action remake of the film, a fitted Houndstooth skirt suit. Wouldn't surprise me if Karl Lagerfeld himself volunteered to do wardrobe for Glenn Close's interpretation of Cruella. The animation looks like a beautiful French croquis sketched by Coco for an early 60s collection. Y'all must hate me for glamorizing a pet stealer. At least my fur coat is faux!
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:
Fishnet hat - Roselle Cottage
Lipstick - Glamour 101 by Lime Crime
Necklace - Chanel
Faux fur coat - Jet Rag Vintage
Black dress - In Love With Fashion
Dalmatian print heels - Pink and Pepper
I'm usually not one to aim for a posh, old-money style look. Gritty, grungy, rock and rollin' is more my cup of orange soda. But I couldn't resist taking cues from the 1940s with this ensemble. The dalmatian print heels IMMEDIATELY reminded me of Disney's iconic villainess and I knew I had to put this faux fur jacket to use! All the small details in the outfit accentuate each other's vintage element. The Chanel necklace and fishnet veil, the silk gloves and cigarette holder, the dark lips and Clara Bow eyes. Little things! Big statements. If you want a pair of Pink & Pepper heels for your own collection of party shoes, browse their line on DSW and see what's available! You can order the exact pair I'm wearing right here. While you're doing that, I'm going to google image pictures of dalmatian puppies and scream into a pillow.
Everything is infinite,

Let's be honest, psychotic tendencies aside, Cruella deVille is by far the most fashionable character in the existence of Disney-dom. You pull off the look perfectly and I love that you just happen to have dalmatian-esque platforms.
