TWEE WITCH

A few weeks ago, someone on my Formspring requested that I put together a look inspired by witchcraft and twee. I loved the idea, since I'm heavily influenced by both sweet and scary. I love taking cues from movies like Hocus Pocus and The Craft, or even the costume aisle at Party City. At the same time, functionality is pretty important to me since I spend so much of my time walking to and from class outdoors. If you ever wonder why the weather influences my outfits so severely, it's because I'm ALWAYS outside -- waiting at a bus stop, strolling through campus, crossing the street for a Sunkist (like I did this morning... can't say that it matched my outfit, but it was worth it. There is seriously nothing better than a soda for breakfast.) Anyway, I've mentioned before that twee is a functional theme because it rarely requires a pair of platform heels or spankin' leather pants, which (visually) are drool-worthy, but rarely comfortable. And almost never what I choose to wear to school. Twee witch, on the other hand... total success. Feminine, functional, authentically me.

New 1940s style T-bar pumps from Yes Style. Figured they were perfect for this look since they're old-fashioned. My only rule for shoes worn with witch-themes is that I must be able to imagine them on a very hideous green person skipping around a bubbling cauldron with a broomstick between their legs. I'm sure you'd agree that these pass the test.

Everything is infinite,
