YOU DO KNOW YOU LOOK LIKE A GRANDMA, RIGHT?

Give me one good reason why I shouldn't dress like I'm 50 years older than I actually am. "Retiree chic" has been popular for a while now, and for good reason. It's comfortable, modest, and gives people an excuse to wear the best bits from their vintage thrift collection all at the same time. Sadly, none of my garments are actually vintage - I'm just really good at scouring the internet for "knockoff secondhand." Hey! Is that a floral print maxi? If it at least looks like something fresh out of the 50s, it's going into my elderly ensemble. Gear up for geriatric get-ups, guys!! (I'm foaming at the mouth with how hilariously cheesy my alliterations are. Every time I think of one in class, I carve it into the desktop and save it for later. See how dedicated I am to figurative language?? Vogue, PLEASE hire me!)

Happy to be wearing this outfit on the day my interview with GQ is released! Read it here: http://www.gq.com/style/profiles/201111/bebe-zeva-interview-fashion-blogger-hipster-runoff *WARNING: EXTREMELY ANALYTICAL, SELF-MOCKING, POTENTIALLY TONGUE IN CHEEK, """AWARE"""*

This outfit may be "Retiree chic" but I think it looks fab! Totally unique and different from other girls walking on the street. Mostly why I love your style! Always different, always daring.

    Keep it up!

  3. Adorable :) There is something so tea-at-grandmas that I really wish you had a bffl in a red cape so you could be the living embodiment of little red riding hood. Also, this look also reminds me heaps of KisforKani typical looks which is double awesome because they, that's like two of my favorite bloggers added to one person (like a kfc double down).

  12. I read your interview when you posted the link to it immediately on twatter, I loved it!! It's a shame that some people take all your words seriously. Why would someone even bother having an internet connection if they can't appreciate a multi-faceted personality? Especially when they play each one out so perfectly.

Do I even need to tell you how much of a hot grandma you'd make? Is that sick? Maybe sad? Sweet!

  21. I'm a grandma and have dressed like this since I was a young hippie. I have a theory that as hippies we wanted to be retired. ..at the same time did not trust any one over 30...go figure! Looks like your generation is continuing the trend!
