HOLIER THAN THOU

Several months ago I went out shopping with my mom for some "retail therapy"... I was still dressing fresh breakup wounds and needed to distract myself with material goods for emotional refuge. Sometimes those false needs really come in handy. Lemme tell ya. I spied this waffle weave T by Alexander Wang top at Scoop NYC and fell in love instantaneously. Well, that's not entirely true. I had already seen the top a million times online because I'm an obnoxious Alexander Wang superfan. When it came before me on a hanger in the store... it was a seriously divine moment and I bought it without a moment's hesitation. I also snagged a leopard print porkpie hat and some J Brand zipper-embellished denim & leather jeans from Intermix. Fantastic little spree that I have yet to top.

FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:
Snapback - YES STYLE
"PARADISE" baseball jacket - ALOHA FROM DEER
Waffle weave tee - T by Alexander Wang (Scoop NYC)
Blouse around waist - Sugarlips
Chiffon pants - YES STYLE
"Popstar sneaker wedges" - G BY GUESS
Faux leather backpack - YESWALKER

Soooo, if you follow me on Twitter, you might already know that I'm a bit of an art snob. This varsity jacket by Aloha From Deer couldn't more perfectly fit into my personal brand. It's decorated in a freakin' Rococo angel mural for Pete's sake -- now that's that shit I DEFINITELY like. Also on my list of shit I definitely like: yet another pair of kicks to add to my growing collection. These are are a pair of G by Guess "Popstar" sneaker wedges. Diggin' the neutral beige... matches nearly everything, especially the nude tones in my Paradise jacket. I level up on that spiked sneaker game daily.

In line with my practical footwear is a practical new leather backpack from YesWalker. I used to wear the same Rebecca Minkoff messenger bag everyday for a year... then sometime in 2012 I switched over to a backpack, and I've been collecting them ever since! Tiny, clear, canvas, vinyl, I want them ALL. The latest is made of matte black pleather. Super stealth to match a strong monochrome look. It's probably the best backpack I've ever ordered online because it STILL hasn't shown any sign of wear and tear... and I'm pretty brutal with my backpacks. The real test is whether or not it will last a week in LA? I should travel soon... ;)

Everything is infinite,

Bebe Zeva

  4. That jacket is too lovely. The little cherubs make such a cool statement; I love the juxtaposition between the sporty style of your jacket & the elegance of the print.
