Remember those tea parties we had as kids where we wore satin gloves and flouncy dresses and costume pearls? I do, and I feel like I'm getting dangerously close to picture-perfect-4-year-old territory. But not entirely there, because, HELLO, I'm totally sexy and 4 year olds are never sexy! Right? Oh, yeah. I forgot about Toddlers in Tiaras. So much competition in this world... :-( Anyway, this look is yet another testament to my black and white streak, except a little less Parisian-wannabe and a lot more "American Girl." Dolls rule.

I got this faux fur bolero from Yes Style initially having NO clue how to wear it. It's definitely a party piece, but I knew that it had more potential than the photo on the site suggested. Even the outfit I'm wearing here is obvious -- a formal hat, gown, and gloves are staples for a tea party. But the bolero goes beyond... it looked best when I wore it to my BFF's concert at a gig called Amplyfi a couple months ago. Legit Baby Spice, lemme tell ya. I paired it with a sequin blue top, metallic silver skirt, union jack socks, red Mary Jane heels, and a super high ponytail. Pictorial evidence? At your service, my friends.

Some might say the outfit was a costume, but I honestly felt most like myself. Playing up other people's personas IS my persona.
