BLUE RUNAWAY

Bet you've never seen someone wear a VS Pink crop top in the context of a 'teen rebel collegiate runaway' before. Styling Victoria's Secret's latest line of Spring Break must-haves has been one of my most creative tasks to date. I tried to fit their shorts and tees into more unconventional looks that featured elements of beach grunge and party goth. I'll show you more looks later this week! Experimenting with brands that generally aren't associated with the style you wear most is an incredible way to challenge yourself, test your comfort zone, and push the limits of your creative vision. Wearing this breezy graphic tee with a pair of low-rise jeans and sandals would have been a total cop-out, that's why I went with a theme that's authentically 'me.'

FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:
Beanie - H&M
Bold wayfarers - 80s Purple, www.80spurple.com
Leather jacket - Members Only
Graphic crop top -VS Pink, www.victoriassecret.com/graphiccroptee
Tartan skirt - YES STYLE, www.yesstyle.com
Wedges - Bamboo, Downtown LA

I wonder why it is I'm so attracted to both 'hardcore bad girl' themes and 'extremely nice and sweet baby good girl' themes. Maybe because I'm strangely neither? I float idly in some bizarre limbo between punk rebel and sleeping angel, contented in my lack of commitment to an iconic lifestyle. It's all good... why would I devote my personality to one subculture when I can just dress like I do??

Everything is infinite,

Bebe Zeva

  1. Oh my gosh, I totally agree with your statement:

"Experimenting with brands that generally aren't associated with the style you wear most is an incredible way to challenge yourself, test your comfort zone, and push the limits of your creative vision."

It's funny how I thought that graphic tees were just a part of my pre-teen days and that I'd never wear them again, but you give me SUCH good inspiration to find ways to rework them!

Plus, I love how you can dress two extremes ;)

  7. I love this look; the blue tartan is gorgeous. I'm not a fan of tartan really, but in blue it's so edgy that I love it.

    OMG

You just described my feelings on personal style. Words that I never could have thought to say.

I don't fit in anywhere rly. But I do enjoy dressing as if I did. It's fun too. A bit costly and time-consuming but worth it.
