leo neo

Idk about you but if I were in the matrix, the absolute last material I'd want to sport is leather. Does sweat not exist in a simulacrum or were Morpheus and the gang just sucking it up for the camera? Meta, I know. Anyhoo a mesh jersey sounds much more practical for an olympic chase -- plenty of ventilation and flexibility, all the better to dodge bullets with. The top I'm wearing in this look is armed with an oversize asymmetrical panel on the bottom, leaving behind a silhouette more avant garde than a PVC knockoff Trinity trench coat paired with Crocs. As for the bunchy jersey collar: I added that myself. Clearly much better at layering fabrics than realities.

These photos are from at least a couple months ago but little has changed in the life of Zave. Except I did spill seltzer water all over this mixed metals necklace last week. And I had my roots highlighted last night. OH YA and I sacrificed this gorgeous faux fur coat to the cause of cats. Know how lil bb felines loooove to knead their paws against soft furs that remind them of kittenhood -- especially ones that perfectly match their own coloring? Well meet my friend Spyder, a little tortoiseshell fluff nubbin who lives in Silverlake.

heiress

In this outfit I'm roleplaying an Eastern European (possibly Russian?) heiress who wears exclusively velvet pantsuits and extravagant furs. Of course my leopard is only faux, but my alter ego knows no difference. She's only old money in the script I write for her. If there's one thing we fundamentally have in common it's intimate appreciation for this Chanel framed bag, my little pet art purse named Marcel. I could go on, but you probably heard enough in my Modulart post when it was first introduced.

Thank you Bardot for adorning me in the leopard opulence crucial to this lavish role. Australia always getting it right.

Moseying about a room all day, too handicapped by anxiety to explore the world, is creatively stifling for obvious reasons. There's a permeating sense of doom, a limited reservoir of entertainment options, and the decor gets boring to look at after approximately the 20th week in isolation. To cope with this malaise, I fantasize about alternate lives, alternate careers. This outfit reflects my most lusted ambition: the art curator. She's everything I'm not: social, talkative, executive, limitless. She's admired for her taste and sophistication. She can make magic happen in a stark white room, she knows the who's-who, she impresses the big wigs with big words and flutes of expensive champagne. I like to imagine that this is an outfit she'd wear to one of her curated openings.

This gorgeous pencil skirt is c/o Bardot, the brand that also designed my beloved snow leopard dress. And the shades, fitting for only a woman with a prestigious degree (or those who like to impersonate them), are c/o Zero UV, the wonderful line that has been supplying most of my sunnies these past several months! J'adore my collaborators.

snow leopard

I haven't been to the club since the last time I went to the club. Which was... 6 months ago? When you live in Vegas, avoiding clubs and lounges is a major feat. They seduce you. They enrapture you like Odysseyian sirens, except instead of singing gorgeous melodies they DJ infectious EDM and trap beats. It's as hard to resist as taking your heels off en route to valet after several hours of traipsing through a casino with a giant guitar shaped margarita container slung over your shoulder. But somehow, I manage. I sate my temptation by simply wearing an outfit I could wear to the club... but won't... because I am a responsible adult whose partying era ended before I was even legal to drink.

The Bardot "Snow Leopard" bodycon is a heavenly fit for an evening out. I mean, it literally fits like an article of heaven. And it's fitting for a swanky situation. It just fits, okay? Check out the rest of this Australian line's collection.
