I'm back! After a week of final exams, I can finally re-devote my time to garnering inspiration and channeling it into blogging. Last night I went out for a very belated birthday dinner with my family, followed by a shopping excursion at the Wynn, and a late night viewing of Woody Allen's new film, Midnight in Paris. My outfit was largely influenced by Mayo of Mellow Mayoness, a personal favorite style blog from Hong Kong. This particular get-up features a palette of deep blues and purples; a toast to my conscious effort to shy away from wearing black on black at every opportunity!

RING AROUND THE ROSY

Spring drew to a quick close so I've chosen to finalize my floral tendencies with a placid pink and green arrangement of flowery prints and cotton layers. No guarantees that I'll lay off the rosettes and daisies this summer, though. The spring spirit seems to stalk me relentlessly throughout every season! This forest green maxi-length skirt is a few years old but I'm only now making its grand debut. At least I hope it's grand. A flower girl can dream...

Evidently, my staple head fixture du jour is this wide-brimmed fishnet hat. I've worn it with nearly every theme imaginable; sweet, subtle, maximalist, and most recently, morose. Saturday's ensemble particularly prides itself in 'funeral vogue' through gothic gauze, silvery sweater threads, and a pair of black lace socks. I paired all of it with clogs to pepper in some of my favorite ingredient - TEEN WITCH - and voila, a semi-transparent silhouette was borne.

Today I'm sporting the newest- but more importantly, cutest- addition to my shoe collection; white, lace-up booties from Wanted! I've mostly chosen to wear my mary-jane style clog heels with pastel ensembles, but now I've got a pair of shoes that will match thousands of times better and give the arches of my feet a well-deserved rest. These size 6 1/2 feet are indulging themselves in a taste of comfort and undeniable adorability. And thanks to the macrame detailing, it looks my toes might experience a bit of the summer breeze! These cutesy little kickers seem like something I'd wear with lace socks as a baby and to be perfectly honest, that aesthetic is RIGHT up my alley. Thanks a million, Wanted!!!!
